About Team Escape
Founded in August 1989, Team Escape Velocity is a Vancouver, BC
based cycling club committed to promoting and developing the sport of
cycling in Canada. With membership ranging from novice Cat 5 riders to
Canadian National Team members and North American champions, we pride
ourselves in our community involvement, race organization, youth
development, and leadership activities.
Our club members are active throughout the cycling community. Escape
Velocity organizes and runs over 25 races per year, including the
ever-popular Spring Series training
races in March and the Tuesday Nighters at
UBC, held every Tuesday night from May to September. Escape Velocity
has also held the BC Classic Stage Race, an epic event and the largest
club-hosted stage race in the history of cycling in BC.

In addition to hosting races, Escape Velocity team members occupy
several executive and board positions within the Burnaby Velodrome, Cycling BC, the Canadian Cycling
Association. Our club's committment to youth cycling and the
future of the sport resulted in DEVO, the Escape
Velocity youth team. The club has provided a supportive atmosphere and
financial assistance to some of tomorrow's great cyclists and
potential Olympians to grow and succeed.

More than anything, we love to ride and race our bicycles. And there's a
good chance that one of us is named Dave. So if you see us out on the road
in the red and white (or green and white), be sure to say hello.
