About Damien
Damien started riding a bicycle during the public transit strike in 2001. He was forced to commute up Burnaby Mountain everyday while attending SFU, and has been hooked ever since. While watching the Tour that year, he decided to purchase a road bike with his student loans. Damien has now raced for the past 5 years, which has allowed him the opportunity to be apart of some great teams and meet many excellent people.
He is currently pursuing studies full-time at UBC in the Teacher Education program. Damien’s other interests include extreme freestyle snow shoeing, bike touring and hiking. When he is not outside, he can be found reading the newspaper, books, or watching movies.
