About Tim
Tim grew up in New Westminster, swimming competitively and running cross country at school. His Dad discovered cycling for fitness in the late 80’s and began dragging out Tim and his younger brother. From there Tim’s first bike – a Nishiki Landau Tri, was mounted with aero bars, and he began racing the junior triathlon circuit around BC. Tim had a couple of season’s of junior bike racing, placing at Provincials and BC Summer Games, before heading off to University and a few years hiatus from athletics to study and travel. Tim began training seriously again at 25 and joined Escape Velocity in 2004. Tim progressed from Cat 4 to Cat 2 in his first season racing, and is his second season became an active member of the club and an important member of the Cat ½ Team.
Outside of bike riding, Tim likes running, telemark skiing, diving, and beer drinking
Tim holds a Masters degree in Marine Science and works full-time as an Environmental Consultant.
