Team Escape Velocity Grand Prix of Cyclocross
The Lion is back!

Come out October 8th to “enjoy” the parcours of Lions Park in Port Coquitlam. The
primarily grass course will provide a course that will be easily navigated by the beginner
cross rider, but challenging enough to tear the legs of an experienced racer. Registration
is day of race only, $25.
Date – October 8th
Location – Lions Park, Port Coquitlam
Schedule:
- 9:00am - Registration opens (sign on ends 15 minutes prior to each start)
- 10:30am - Cat 3/4 Men, Citizen Men / Women and U17 (40 minutes)
- 11:15am - Free Kids’ Cross, age 10 and under
- 11:30am - Free Kids’ Cross, age 11-15 (±15minutes)
- 12:00pm - Master 30+ Men 3/4, Cat 1/2 / Master Women (45 minutes)
- 1:00pm - Cat 1/2 Men (60 minutes), Master 30+ Men 1/2 (45 minutes)
Note that mountain bikes are allowed in non-elite categories. You must use a cyclocross bicycle (disc brakes are ok) in the Cat 1/2 races. No tandems.
Registration
- Sign on opens at 9:00 am and closes 15 minutes before your start time. Registration tent will be near the parking lot at the end of Byrne Road.
- $25 on-site.
- You must present your racing license and a signed waiver at registration to get your number.
- event open to UCI license holders or Cycling BC Citizen license holders
- USA riders with domestic license (USCF, OBRA, etc.) or any rider with no license can also participate with $10 one event fee. Medical coverage is not available at the event for USA racers, and should be acquired in advance from a suitable provider.
- Kids Cross open to kids age 15 and under, no license or entry fee.
