14 National Titles for Poitras!

After a fairly lengthy rain delay, the women's Points Race finally got underway under cloudy skies and cool temperatures. There were 8 sprints with 5,3,2,1 points up for grabs every 5 laps. I won all but 2 sprints and accumulated a total of 33 points to snatch another National Championship title, the silver went to my World Cup teammate and winner of the Sratch Race, Gina Grain from Victoria, BC. Jenny Trew riding for Team Coastal, who also resides in Victoria, had a great race capturing the bronze for her first Points Race medal at a National Championship event.

Last event of the Championships for me will be the Keirin tomorrow morning.
