World Cup Challenge Criterium Montreal, PQ, Canada

In the opening event of 4 races at the 5th round of the UCI Women's road World Cup Mandy Poitras captured the 30km criterium in downtown Montreal. The very short ( 700m ) and fast course was very well suited to Poitras who had just returned from Columbia and a 4th place finish in the opening Track World Cup. While there were many small attacks no gap was bigger than 12 seconds and Mandy and 800.com teammate Gina Grain rode superbly together with Mandy easily taking the sprint win by a few bike lengths and Gina finishing 6th.
