We're a results-oriented club

Race results, that is. And the lazy web nerd has been stockpiling a bunch of recent EV/dEVo/GE/dEVa race results we ought to have been shouting about. So read on hear all about it (notably this weekend's junior nats results), plus a video recap of the Race the Sunshine Coast project.

Junior Nats

Jacob "Joon" Schwingboth managed an impressive 5th in the Junior Men's road race this weekend. Several other dEVos were out there, too.

Jacob also put a credible ("I was sick" he says) performance in the 20 km TT, finishing 13th. Teammate Curt "The Hurt" Jung managed 18th, and Ben "Benny" Cowburn was 30th out of a field of 59 starters.

BC Cup

The GE team has been going all out, and is currently leading the BC Cup team standings. Tim Abercrombie sits 3rd overall, after strong seconds in both the Westside and K-Town races. Yaletown was not so nice to Tim, but was very nice to Mike Sidic, who picked up second for his suffering.

Alongside Sidic and Abercrombie, Dan Skinner and Jesse Reams give the GE boys four riders in the top-ten of the BC Cup standings. It's a red and white year (no trucks)!

On the women's side, Naomi Cooper and Lisa Howard managed an impressive 2nd and 5th at Westside, and Howard backed that up with a 3rd in Yaletown. Lisa is now 4th in the overall standings, and a 7th in K-Town gives Cooper enough points to sit 5th so far in her comeback season.

In the lower categories, it's worth noting that Camille Nonis was 2nd in the Women's Cat 4 race, and Ted Martin rode to victory in the Men's 3. In the hotly contested Men's Master race, Steve Cork posted EV's best result with a DNF.

Race the Sunshine Coast
