Miserable weather getting you down? Need an excuse to get out and ride? Boy howdy do we have one!

The road and cyclocross seasons are over, and that means it's time for Escape Velocity's annual Toy Ride. We'd love to see a big turn-out of teams from across the Lower Mainland, so we invite you (and all your riding friends) to join us.
This ride benefits the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau, an organization that provides food vouchers and toys for low income families in the Vancouver area.
We meet this Saturday (December 12th) at the Jericho Hostel, 1600 Discovery Street. The Tim Horton's cruiser will be there 8:30-10:00, providing coffee and Timbits, and we expect ride groups to start going out around 9:30. From the start point, we'll follow the typical Saturday Ride route and pace, and it is of course rain or shine. Even more so than the Saturday Ride, this is "no-drop," so riders of all abilities should feel free to come out.
Donations can be dropped at the Cruiser before the ride sets out. Cheques made out to "Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau" are preferred as they allow the greatest flexibility in meeting the varied needs of recipient families.
Please invite all your riding friends to join us for this fundraiser, and to start off the holiday season bringing some cheer to disadvantaged kids. Last year we had over 50 riders participate and raised over $1700. This year, let's have a really good showing from Vancouver's cycling clubs, and together we can beat both marks!
We look forward to seeing you there!
