Team Escape Velocity is once again proud to be the host of the Provincial Time Trial Championships. To be held in Squamish on August 12, 2006, this popular 38.5km course along the Elaho River provides competitors with a true test of their strength and speed. This year, the TT championship is also the final event in the FloraGLO BC Cup road racing series.

Registration now open at Karelo.com: REGISTER HERE. New this year: state your preference for your start time! Official times will be posted morning of the race. First-come, first-serve on preferred start-time spots.

Registration/Schedule

  • Register at www.karelo.com (Karelo registration open on July 10, 2006. Registration closes August 10, 2006)
  • Entry fee $40 advance, $45 day-of
  • Juniors fee $25
  • You must present your racing license and a signed waiver at registration to get your number
  • Awards BBQ included for first 150 registrants ONLY
  • Provincial Championship categories will get medals and championship jerseys: Jr, Sr & Espoir Men; Jr & Sr Women (there must be at least five competitors in a category for medal and jersey awards)
  • Special Cat 4 Women award
  • Cash prizes for top 3 in Provincial Championship Categories
  • One-event Insurance available ($30)
  • mandatory bike measurements by commisaires: all bicycles must conform to UCI regulations
  • Sign-on opens at 7:30 am, bike measurement 8:00 to 9:15, sign-on closes at 8:30 AM, first rider starts at 9:15 AM

    Course Details

    • Single out-and-back loop - total 38.5km
    • U17 women, U15 men, and handcyclists will ride a 20 km course and will start at 9:15 am
    • No sharp corners or hills
    • Road surface is combination of smooth pavement and chip seal
    • One wooden bridge (marshalled)

    Directions

    • From Vancouver, proceed north along Hwy 99, 10km past Squamish to the Alice Lake turnoff
    • Turn left on Squamish Valley Road
    • Drive another 2 km to Registration and Parking - Sunwolf Outdoor Center [NEW]
